The world’s a book, so great and wide, With pages turned by wind and tide. Mountains so high and oceans so deep, Cities bustling, deserts asleep. Our home forever since the beginning, We will live as long Earth keeps spinning. This is our home, our life and our death, It will be here until our last breath. So what are we doing right now? Pollution is something that we shouldn’t allow. It is a huge problem everywhere After what Earth did for us, it’s not fair. Earth is something we can’t repair, It’s everywhere and does anyone care? I live in France and I can see A lot of plastic here, a burnt tree We are creating our own downfall So we have to help, start of small Plant one tree, build a bird nest Until one day, you can finally rest It’s for your own good, It’s our future. |

Congratulations, Micah! Your beautiful poem has been selected as the runner-up in the 8–11 years age category!
Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt and imaginative piece. Your imagery of Earth as a living book, combined with your poem’s genuine and emotional tone, truly captivated us. Your sincere call to care for our planet is inspiring and fills us with hope.
